Slye is dedicated to the idea of moving both the body and mind. Combining the infectious, grooves of late 70s - early 80s funk music such as Prince, Sly Stone and Funkadelic, with the lyricism and melodies of Neo-soul and indie jazz such as Allen Stone, Mac Ayers and Tom Misch.
Slye has featured across the nation including BBC Radio Wales, BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 6 with as well as on national television with E4’s ‘Made In Chelsea’. Slye and the band’s highlights includes: Liverpool Soundcity, BBC Introducing at the Cavern, supporting Liv Warfield (Prince, NPG), Mononeon and his band being a staple of the Liverpool jazz scene.
With the new EP, Presence on the horizon, a two sided record about the idea of appreciating and savouring the moment, and a live EP landing shortly after, Slye is booking around the UK to promote the music and spread the funk
