David Broad and the Meanwood Valley Stompers are passionate about preserving the rich heritage of traditional American music. With a diverse repertoire ranging from swing, blues, gospel, ragtime, and even a bit of country, their energetic performances and tight-knit harmonies breathe new life into classics by Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Blind Blake, and Robert Johnson. Having performed across the UK at venues ranging from pubs and clubs to weddings, funerals, and festivals - including The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival, Friskin’ the Whiskers, The Big Weekend, and Nighthawks - they can be counted on to get lindy hoppers hopping and jivers jiving.
