About the event
Isaac Malibu is 25 year-old, Yorkshire-based artist performing R&B music, with soul, pop, funk and lo-fi influences, agile vocals and a signature falsetto. His musical themes vary from romantic and light, to sensual and moody and is inspired by real life love interests and experiences, albeit, with a slightly "fabricated" narrative (for the purpose of musical storytelling). With a recent alias change, his discography looks small but he has a plethora of songs written over the last 8 years that act almost like a timeline of his love-related life events. Musically, he takes inspiration from contemporary Pop and R&B artists; Frank Ocean, Adanna Duru, Ariana Grande, Jvck James to name a few. Vocally however, his influences come from the music he was brought up on, Brian McKnight, Mariah Carey, Brandy etc, so the vocals are preformative to say the least. October 2022 marked the official start of the Malibu era, so 2023 is looking like the year to cement the new name, along with some new music.
