Brand New Bag are a brand new band from Leeds, U.K featuring some of the Yorkshire city's funkiest faces. Brand New Bag formed in early 2023 for an on-going residency at Leeds' hottest late night spot for all things jazz, funk & soul, The Domino Club.

Taking influence from, and cemented within Leeds' soul-jazz and funk pedigree, Brand New Bag bring their own flavour to this heady mix, playing a blend of stylishly crafted originals and impeccably reworked versions of 1960's and 1970s jazz funk/soul rarities, alongside high energy crowd pleasing favorites, all infused with a beating heart of U.K. Hip-Hop. A seamless genre melding live experience, Brand New Bag's influences span through Grant Green, John Scofield, Tower of Power, Guru's Jazzmatazz records, ATCQ, The Isley Brothers, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Charlie Parker, Gil Scott-Heron and much more from the worlds of neo-soul, conscious hip-hop, acid jazz and straight up funky soul.
